Out of 135 book-reads, in the English language, translated from 29 languages, 5 judges have finally announced the 13 longlisted books. Longlisted authors are from 12 countries and write in 11 languages. Here is the list of the final 13. Frank Wynne, chair of the 2022, judges said that “From the intimate to the epic, the numinous to the profane, the books make up a passionately debated longlist that traces a ring around the world.” Among all the finalists Olga Tokarczuk, Jennifer Croft, David Grossman, and Jessica Cohen have already won the award previously. Here at the BOOKBROODER, we will also try to read as many books as possible from this list, over the period of this year.
